DETROIT (WXYZ) — Eastern Market Brewing Company is excited to announce its inaugural Frühlingsfest celebration this Saturday, April 27th.

The event will be held at Eastern Market Brewing Company, 2515 Riopelle St. in Detroit. The food and fun will take place from noon - 8pm (doors open at 10am).

Frühlingsfest, which translates to “Springfest,” is an annual celebration that takes place in Munich, Germany. This spring festival involves many of the same traditions as its better-known autumn counterpart, Oktoberfest. The business will be closing down the street for a proper block party, and setting up a beer tent with long communal tables, just like they do in Munich. Festivities commence at Noon with traditional
German music from The Immigrant Sons. O’zapft will also be releasing two seasonal beers for the occasion, a Maibock called Frühlingsfest and our Wunderboi Kölsch.

You can also try your luck in the stein-holding competition at 1p.m. or grab some German food the Elephant Shack food truck from 1-8 p.m.

All ages are welcome but of course, you must be 21+ to enjoy the beer. For a full list of happenings at Eastern Market Brewing Company, visit https://easternmarket.beer/event-calendar/
