Gov. Whitmer discusses what record spike in COVID cases means for Michigan

(WXYZ) — Michigan saw a new one-day record total for coronavirus cases across the state over the weekend.

The Michigan Health Department announced more than 3,300 new cases on Saturday, Oct. 24, bringing the overall total to more than 158,000.

Thirty-five new deaths were also reported.

Sadly, more than 7,100 Michiganders have now died from the virus.
