Kids love trick-or-treating, but parents may not be such big fans of all that sugar. Now, one metro Detroit dentist is offering to help you get rid some of that candy, and giving it to a good cause.
Dr. Steven Wainess is offering cash for your Halloween stash. He's hosting a candy buy-back event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. The event will include lots of fun and surprises and refreshments to boot. Donors will get $1 for each pound of unopened candy. All candy received will go to U.S. Military members through Operation Gratitude.
The buy-back will take place at Dr. Wainess' office at 30140 Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Anyone with questions can call Kim at 586-293-1515.
