DETROIT (WXYZ) — Hazon Detroit is working with Oakland Avenue Urban Farm to share a plan to build a community pathway through the Oakland Avenue Urban Farm in Detroit’s historic North End.
We may think of sustainability as greening, composting, banning stuff like Styrofoam, but when you walk into a community, you start talking about the sustainability and vitality of a neighborhood.
The Oakland Avenue Urban Farm, a program of North End Christian Community Development Corporation, is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to cultivating healthy foods, sustainable economies, and active cultural environments. To learn more, visit https://hazon.org/regions/detroit/
