MILFORD, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Michigan Humane Society will be hosting 2 fundraising walks this weekend, one in Kensington Metropark (Oct. 5) and one in Eastern Market (Oct. 6).
Doggie Dash will be held on Saturday, October 5, on the grounds of beautiful Kensington Metro Park. The fun will take place from 9:00am until noon.
This event, which was previously called Mega March, invites local animal lovers to bring their favorite canine companion to Kensington Metro Park for a morning of family-friendly fun and a picturesque walk in the park. Registration for the event is free and all are welcome to attend, with or without a pet. Attendees have the opportunity to raise funds for the animals in our community and qualify for fundraising rewards, including an exclusive event t-shirt.
The second walk will be held at the Eastern Market in Detroit. It's called, Giddy Up Pup, and it will feature horses leading the dogs. To learn more about both walks, visit:
