DETROIT (WXYZ) — To celebrate Earth Day, the Michigan Science Center (MiSci) will offer free general admission on April 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The event will explore earth science with hands-on activities, exhibits and shows.
Free general admission includes access to more than 250 amazing hands-on exhibits, live stage shows, Spark!Lab from the Smithsonian, Kids Town gallery, STEM Playground, Space gallery and more. Earth Day activities will include stomp rockets, pocket solar system, static electricity and more. The event also marks the grand opening of Global Soundscapes in the Toyota Engineering 4D Theater through giant screen images, surround sound, and live presentation. Global Soundscapes takes you on an ear-opening journey into the science of sound and the emerging field of soundscape ecology. All showings of Global Soundscapes will be free on April 20, courtesy of DENSO, the world's second largest mobility supplier.
Space is limited and tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis.
