Hundreds of antique cars from around the country are on the display in Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford. The Old Car Festival and it’s the longest running antique car show in the country.
It’s not your typical car show, you won’t find hot rods or custom paint jobs, vehicles at the Old Car Festival can even make the term ‘classic’ seem new.
"It's one of the only shows where vehicles like this belong, I mean you go to the hot rod shows, you don't really belong there,” said Jim Fancher, an exhibitor.
Fancher has been bringing his 1929 Chevy to the Old Car Festival for 18 years.
"This is quite prestigious, you have to be asked to come to this,” said Fancher.
There are rules, no custom paint, everything must be as original as possible and the vehicles must be old, there’s nothing newer than 1932.
There will be also be people in period dress, music, bikes and one of the most unique aspects, many of these vehicles will cruise around during the festival.
"It's one of the only car shows you go to, where they encourage you to drive around,” said Fancher.
The Old Car Festival runs until 9 p.m. on Saturday and starts again at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
