ROCHESTER, MICH (WXYZ) — Royal Park Hotel is ‘rescuing Christmas’ with several innovative ways to safely celebrate the season with loved ones this year.
Once again, the hotel is partnering with The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit to kick-off the season with a Gingerbread Trail located throughout the hotel. The community is invited to stroll hotel lobbies to view Gingerbread Trail displays, learn more about The Salvation Army and donate to the Royal Park Red Kettle Campaign! Royal Park Red Kettle Campaign Donations will be matched up to $5,000 thanks to a special donation by the David W. Elliott Foundation.
New this year, the Royal Park has also introduced two themed holiday suites to allow small groups and families to reserve private spaces for events or a special holiday get-away. In partnership with Maker's Mark, the hotel has created a one-of-a-kind Buddy the Elf Inspired suite experience. A portion of proceeds from each suite booked will be donated to help fund the Big Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester. Imagine walls adorned with lights and gift wrap, and the ceiling filled with over the top snowflakes, and 5,000 feet of paper garland. Touches of Buddy the Elf's favorite things will be present throughout. Guests will receive a welcome amenity featuring a Maker’s Mark “Buddy’s Mailroom beverage kit, and a variety of Buddy’s Favorite food groups reimagined amenity.”
Keeping the gingerbread tradition alive, Royal Park has also created a one-of-a-kind Gingerbread Suite Experience sponsored by Cedarbrook of Rochester. A portion of proceeds from each suite booked will support The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit. Imagine the ceiling and suite sprinkled with snowflakes, candy canes, and all things gingerbread! Guests will receive a welcome kit filled with a variety of gingerbread sweets, as well as a few other special treats.
For those looking to have a sweet simple way to give back, PARK 600 restaurant will be donating $1 from every dessert sold throughout the month of December to The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s Red Kettle Campaign. For more information, visit www.royalparkhotel.net
