DETROIT (WXYZ) — Just two days after President Trump declared churches as 'essential' and called on them to reopen, some catholic churches within the Archdiocese of Detroit are holding their first public Sunday mass on May 23 since Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued her initial stay home executive order.
The move also comes despite the governor's order being extended through June 12th late last week.
