SOUTHFIELD, MICH (WXYZ) — 555 Arts is hosting “The Iron Ages: Bronze Pouring fundraiser on Saturday, August 3, in Detroit.
The family event will take place from noon until 8 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to design, carve, and sculp your own mold for bronze casting. The fun will include a deejay, music, live entertainment, food trucks, slushies and an arts and crafts area for kids. The cost $35 for coin molds, and $45 for a 5x5 scratch block mold.
555 Arts is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. All proceeds from this event will benefit the organization's October 2019 Memorial Iron Pour in honor of Casey Westbooks, and the Artist Residency House renovations that are ongoing for the future new home of 555 Arts - to be located in a 100-year old build that was once a former tabaco processing plant.
