White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy is hosting its 12th Annual Care Package Drive to provide “a little bit of home and comfort” to overseas military troops.
The care package drive runs September 8 - 20 , 2019. Anyone interested in donating items for the care package drive can drop them off from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery at 621 W. Long Lake Rd. (west of I-75) in Troy in the Temple of Memories. A list of suggested items to donate can be found at www.WhiteChapelCemetery.com.
Below is a partial list of most requested items that can be included in the care packages:
*Snack foods (individual size):
- Coffee, tea and hot chocolate
- Jerky
- Protein bars
- Hard candy and gum
- Ramen noodles
Personal health:
- Wipes
- Chapstick
- Cotton swabs
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss
- Cough drops
- Tissues
Miscellaneous:
- Sewing kits
- Word games, puzzles, word searches, jigsaw puzzles
- Small Beanie Babies
- Small Nerf footballs

- Blank sheet of paper/self-addressed envelope so Troops can write you back - no stamp is needed
