DETROIT — A Farmington Hills woman who started selling t-shirts out of her basement just a few months ago has become inundated with sales after posting "That Woman From Michigan" shirts on Etsy.
The slogan refers to shots President Donald Trump took at Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer over the weekend.
Trump has spoken of Whitmer as "the woman in Michigan" in referring to her actions against the COVID-19 virus, saying he had told Vice President Mike Pence not to call her. He also called her "half Whitmer" in a Tweet.

Amanda Burden says she created the shirt in support of Whitmer, who she says, "in my opinion has been busting her butt to take care of people in our state."
Burden posted the shirts online Saturday and has already had almost 500 orders.
“So many people want this shirt because yeah, 'I’m that woman in Michigan who is going to the polls in November,'" said Burden.
Burden started her company Top Knot and Twine on Etsy in January. She said the influx of orders has slowed her processing time, but she's hoping to fullfill all orders in the next few weeks.
