Posted

The second annual Detroit Black Restaurant Week kicks off on Monday with several restaurants offering week-long deals.

Founded by Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, the founder of BlackMetroEats.com, the event highlights black-owned restaurants in the city of Detroit.

“Detroit Black Restaurant Week is a proclamation. It is a drop in the melting pot that deserves a bit of flavor and tenacity," he said. "In an effort toward bringing people of all backgrounds together Detroit Black Restaurant Week exposes people to establishments and owners that they otherwise may not have faced."
