The opening of The 50th Annual CMA Awards has been previewed as a historic moment for the country music industry.
Following that much anticipated opening we have learned that Dierks Bentley is scheduled to perform his single "Different for Girls" alongside duet partner Elle King.

Bentley told Scripps that he followed his gut when reaching out to King to record with him on the song. He then flew down to Austin to record the song.

He also told us they became "life long friends" following their collaboration on the song. Their reported duet airs during the CMA Awards Wednesday night on ABC at 8/7 CT.
