(WXYZ) — Eddie Money is headed off the road, just days after a concert at DTE Energy Music Theatre.

Money announced on his Twitter account that he will be undergoing heart valve surgery.

Money played his traditional Memorial Day weekend show to help kick off the concert season at DTE on Saturday, May 25.
