(WXYZ) — Tom Holland wanted a challenge. What the actor got out of his latest project turned out to be the toughest challenge of his already decorated career.
The 27-year-old stars in Apple TV's new series, 'The Crowded Room.' The 10-episode show is a departure from his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"It wasn't easy at all. It was actually the hardest thing I've ever done," Holland told WXYZ's Brad Galli in an interview about the series.

The actor also discussed his future as Spider-Man, and reacted to Mark Wahlberg's compliments in the interview.
'The Crowded Room' episodes debut Fridays on Apple TV throughout the summer.
