DETROIT (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police say one person died after a fiery crash on I-96 in Detroit on Monday evening.
According to police, a vehicle had broken down in a lane of travel along eastbound I-96 at Warren just before 6:30 p.m.
Moments later, police say a vehicle struck the broken down car, and then a third vehicle hit the second.
The first car that was broken down caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames when troopers arrived.
Police say the driver was unable to get out of the vehicle and died in the fire.
