(WXYZ) — Michigan drivers are paying 7 cents more for gas than a week ago, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average price of $2.69 per gallon for regular unleaded. Despite the increase, drivers are paying about 31 cents less than this time last year.
Motorists are paying an average of $40 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
Compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports that metro Detroit’s average daily gas price decreased. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.69 per gallon, about 1 cents less than last week’s average.
The most expensive gas price averages were found in Ann Arbor ($2.74), Grand Rapids ($2.70) and Jackson ($2.70.) The least expensive gas price averages were found in Traverse City ($2.53), Benton Harbor ($2.62) and Marquette ($2.64.)
