(WXYZ) — Gas prices in Michigan are up 9 cents compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average price of $2.05 per gallon for regular unleaded, 34 cents more than this time last month.
Motorists are paying an average of $31 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
“As the Michigan state average rises above $2 a gallon for the first time in over two months, motorists could expect pump prices to continue their increase through this week," said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA - The Auto Club Group.
Metro Detroit's current average is $2.03 per gallon.
