(WXYZ) — Gas prices in Michigan are down 3 cents compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average price of $2.17 per gallon for regular unleaded, 17 cents more than this time last month.
AAA Michigan says motorists are paying an average of $33 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
“If these trends continue, motorists could see pump prices slow their increases and hold steady through the week,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group.
Compared to last week, Metro Detroit’s average daily gas price increased slightly. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.24 per gallon, 1 cent more than last week’s average.
