DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Michigan Department of Transportation says a problem on Fort Street that may have caused problems during rush hour has been cleared up.

The department tweeted that Fort Street is closed between Miller Road and Oakwood Boulevard because of a bridge malfunction. The bridge was apparently stuck in the up position.

Officials had said the closure could last into the afternoon rush hour. However, they announced before 1:30 p.m. that the problem had been rectified and the street was now open.
