Construction on Dix-Toledo Highway bridge to cause intermittent lane closures

(WXYZ) — Work will start on the Dix-Toledo Road Bridge in Brownstown Township on Nov. 26.

• Two bridges have been closed for over a year; construction was supposed to take 5 months

The construction will cause periodic lane closures along Allen and Pennsylvania Roads. The work is expected to finish in February.

Wayne County says the construction will replace temporary support beams.

The bridges have been closed for over a year. County officials say crews found additional unexpected repairs that are needed.
