(WXYZ) — Continuous lane closures on I-94 between I-96 and US-12 have been canceled due to weather, according to MDOT.
The closures were scheduled to begin this week for road and bridge work.
Left lanes on eastbound and westbound I-94 between US-12 (Michigan Avenue) and I-96 were to be closed for one week, according to a release.
Severe weather the last two weekends forced MDOT to push back some work on the freeway.
“There’s a lot of work you can’t do when it’s raining like what we had last weekend or a lot of snow like this weekend," said MDOT spokesperson Diane Cross on Sunday.
