ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Drivers heading south from Rochester Hills can breathe a sigh of relief as Livernois Road is back open after five months.
The Oakland County Road Commission said southbound Livernois from Walton to Avon reopened on Monday.
During construction, which began on June 21, the southbound side of the road was closed while northbound was open to traffic.
The project included removing existing concrete and replacing it with new asphalt, replacing curbs and gutters, constructing ADA-compliant crosswalks and modernizing the traffic signals.
