DETROIT (WXYZ) — There are plenty of things going on in Detroit this weekend, but an alert for drivers heading from the northern suburbs as southbound I-75 will close in the city for the entire weekend.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, southbound I-75 will close between I-94 and Warren Ave. beginning at 9 p.m. Friday. The closure will last until 5 a.m. on Monday.
To get around the closure, you can take southbound I-75 to westbound M-8 the Davison to southbound M-10 and then back to southbound I-75. The ramp to westbound I-94 from southbound I-75 will also be open only for the closure, and it will close once again wheen the road opens.
