(WXYZ) — Southfield Freeway will close in both directions between Rotunda and Ford Rd. this weekend for continuing work on the highway and interchange at Michigan Ave.

The highway will close at 7 p.m. Friday and stay closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

On top of that, both directions of Michigan Ave. will share the westbound lanes of the road starting Thursday afternoon until mid-June for bridge work.

Once construction on the eastbound lanes is finished, the traffic will be shifted on that side to work on the westbound lanes.

Beginning this afternoon, both directions of US-12 over M-39 will share the WB lanes as EB traffic will be shifted over to WB until mid-June for bridge work. Once EB is completed, then WB traffic will be shifted into the EB lanes.

Also, SB M-39 ramp to EB US-12, ramp closed until mid-June.

Beginning Fri 7pm, NB/SB M-39 CLOSED between Rotunda and Ford Rd till Mon 5am. Detours will be posted.
