LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) — With Michigan's auto insurance law changing on July 1, the state is hosting virtual town halls to help drivers and insurance agents learn more.

The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services will offer town halls beginning Monday so drivers can ask questions about the new insurance law and the choices they will need to make.

Consumer Town Halls:
- 6th House District:Monday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m., sponsored by Rep. Tyrone Carter
- 25th House District:Monday, June 22 at 2 p.m., sponsored by Rep. Nate Shannon
- Statewide:Tuesday, June 23 at 12:30 p.m.Wednesday, June 24 at 11:30 a.m.
