(WXYZ) — Michigan gas prices are up 6 cents compared to last week, AAA Michigan reports.
Michigan drivers are now paying an average price of $2.11 per gallon for regular unleaded, 26 cents more than this time last month.
Motorists are paying an average of $32 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
"If demand continues to trend higher, motorists will likely see pump prices continue to increase through the end of the month," said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA - The Auto Club Group.
Compared to last week, Metro Detroit’s average daily gas price increased. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.12 per gallon, 9 cents more than last week’s average and 61 cents less than this time last year.
