(WXYZ) — Gas prices in Michigan are down 6 cents compared to a week ago, AAA Michigan reports.
Drivers are now paying an average of $2.20 per gallon for regular unleaded, 10 cents more than this time last month.
Motorists are paying an average of $33 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
"If demand trends lower as gasoline supplies tighten, drivers in Michigan could see prices hold steady through the week," said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA - The Auto Club Group.
Compared to last week, Metro Detroit’s average daily gas price decreased. Metro Detroit’s current average is $2.27 per gallon, about 2 cents less than last week’s average.
