(WXYZ) — Most of us hate commuting to and from work, sitting in traffic and just waiting, but how long is the average commute?
A new study from Robert Half found that the average commute in Detroit is 50 minutes, which is just above the national average of 48 minutes.
According to the study, 47 percent of Detroit professionals said traveling to and from work is stressful, and 39 percent said their commute is too long.
When it comes to senior manager, 31 percent said their company offers flexible scheduling and 29 percent offer telecommuting.
Washington D.C. has the longest average commute, according to the study, at nearly 66 minutes. New York is second at just over an hour, followed by Houston at 59.15 minutes, Miami at 56.55 minutes and San Francisco at 55.3 minutes.
