SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — Heads up for drivers in Oakland County this weekend. Telegraph Road is closing in both directions at the I-696/M-10 interchange throughout the weekend to replace storm sewers.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the road will close to replace two deteriorated storm sewers that cross US-24 (Telegraph) near I-696, and complete ditch work on each side of Telegraph.
To get around the closure, MDOT says northbound Telegraph traffic will be detoured via southbound M-10, northbound Lahser Rd. and northbound M-10 to northbound US-24. Southbound Telegrpah traffic will be detoured via northbound M-10 to a crossover to southbound M-10 and back to southbound Telegraph.
The road is expected to reopen on Monday morning.
