(WXYZ) — Michigan may have the worst roads in the entire country, but a new report from Insurify said the state has the best drivers in the United States.
According to the report, the website looked at insurance quotes, statistics for speeding tickets, DUI convictions and more.
Insurify said that only 15 percent of drivers in Michigan have moving violations, and 1.78 percent have DUI convictions.
The report also found 5.52 percent of drivers have at-fault accidents, 1.25 percent o drivers have run red lights and the traffic fatality rate per population of 100,000 is 10.3.
"Michigan also notably bucks the trend of northern states having higher rates of traffic infractions," the report reads. "It is the only northern state where fewer than 18 percent of its drivers are past offenders, and its rates of violation are drastically lower than those of its border states."
Kentucky comes in at No. 2, followed by Mississippi, Nevada and Florida rounding out the top 5.
