(WXYZ) — Westbound I-94 will close in Macomb and Wayne counties this weekend for construction, the Michigan Department of Transportation said on Tuesday.
The highway will close at 8 p.m. from I-696 to Conner St. and is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
Traffic will be detoured to westbound I-696 to southbound Gratiot to westbound I-94.
Also, the westbound lanes will have one lane open nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. from 9 Mile to Conner Tuesday night through Friday night. All entrance ramps will be closed except the Moross Rd. entrance ramp to westbound I-94.
Eastbound I-696 will also have the right lane closed from Gratiot to I-94 this weekend.
