FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — The westbound lanes of M-5 are closing from Middlebelt to I-275 this weekend in Farmington Hills.
The lanes will close at 9 p.m. Friday and remain closed throughout the weekend.
To get around it, drivers can go on westbound 8 Mile to northbound I-275.
The roadwork is all part of a bigger project to redo a stretch of M-5 from 8 to 13 Mile Road. The $11.8 million project will repave the busy roadway, fix storm drains and add a sidewalk to the westbound side of the Grand River Avenue Bridge to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
M-5 will reopen Monday at 8 p.m.
