(WXYZ) — "This week is going to be a madhouse," said one metro Detroiter. "There's going to be people all over the place."
That's true for people hitting stores and streets. So Google came out with a website called mappingthanksgiving.com.
The website uses data from several cities, including Detroit, to map out the best and worst times to shop and travel around the Thanksgiving holiday.

The website also lets you know the best day to go grocery shopping before Thanksgiving.
According to Google, the best day to shop for your turkey day dinner is the Tuesday before at 9 p.m. The worst time to shop is Wednesday at 4 p.m., which is when stores will be the most crowded.
And the best time to pickup you pie?
You should beat the bakery rush by going Tuesday at 7 p.m., but you'll be in the rush if you go Wednesday at 3 p.m.
If you're hitting the roads, drive on Thanksgiving before 6 a.m. The worst time to leave is Wednesday at 3 p.m. So Hump Day is starting to look like "stay at home" day.
