DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Police are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found inside a burned out Jeep early Friday morning.
According to police, the fire department was dispatched to a vehicle fire shortly before 5 a.m. When they put the fire out, they discovered a body inside.
Investigators note that the body was burned beyond recognition.
Homicide detectives are looking into the crime scene near 8 Mile and Mound road on Detroit's east side. The actual vehicle was found near the 20200 block of Albany.
