DETROIT (WXYZ) — A burned body has been found on Detroit’s west side — a homicide investigation is now underway.
Police spent the early morning hours searching the interior and surroundings of a home on the 14600 block of Greenview Avenue. It’s unclear whether the body was found inside the home, or nearby.

A number of uniform officers, crime scene technicians and detectives were seen investigating around 5 a.m. A K9 unit was also brought in as part of the investigation. It’s unclear what the dog is being used for, however, investigators were spotted throughout the area not just at the one location.
