One woman died and two others are injured after a drive-by shooting on Detroit's east side.
Police say the incident occurred just before 2 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Chalmers and Elmdale.
Three people were sitting in a car when a black Ford Crown Vic pulled up and began shooting at the car. Three people were shot; the driver tried to get away, but struck another vehicle.
Police say all three people injured were taken to the hospital, but the 29-year-old woman died a short time later. There is no information on the suspects as police are still investigating.
