10 shootings, 3 fatal in Detroit overnight

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Police report 10 shootings overnight in the city, with three turning deadly. The shootings happened early Sunday morning following the Fourth of July holiday.

One incident involved six people being shot in the area of San Juan and McNichols Sunday around 2 a.m. Two of the victims died. In addition to the shootings, Detroit police are looking for a hit and run suspect. It happened in the area of Gratiot and Parker. The 43-year-old victim is listed in critical condition.

Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 05, 2020 at approximately 12:01 a.m. in 19300 block of Lahser, the 69-year-old male victim inside of his home, when shots were fired from outside, striking him in the body. He was privately conveyed to a local hospital and listed in temp-serious condition. No suspect info at this time. Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 05, 2020, at approximately 1:37 a.m.in the 9700 block of Broadstreet, the victim, black male, 25-30 (John Doe) was discovered fatally shot outside of the location. No further information is available at this time. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 05, 2020 at approximately 1:50 a.m. in the area of 8 mile and Southfield Rd., the 20-year-old male victim was shot and privately conveyed to a local hospital. The victim was listed in critical condition. No further information is available at this time. Preliminary on July 05, 2020 at approximately 2:16 a.m. in the area of San Juan and McNichols, the victims were attending a gathering when shots were fired by unknown suspect, or suspects. Two male victims (21 and 24) were fatally injured. Four other victims (2 males and 2 females, ages range from 20-30) were treated a local hospital for non-fatal injuries. Non-Fatal Shooting
Preliminary on July 05, 2020 at approximately 4:15 a.m. in the 9300 block of Penrod, shots were fired into the house by unknown suspect. The 30-year-old male victim received gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to a local hospital by medics and listed in stable condition.
