DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 12-year-old boy accidentally shot himself on Detroit's west side early Saturday morning, police said.
It happened around midnight on Sussex Street near Chalfonte Street.
Investigators say the boy found a gun and shot himself.
He was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
An investigation is being led by the Detroit Police Department's Child Abuse Unit. Additional details weren't immediately available.
