DETROIT (WXYZ) — You may find Roland playing with superhero action figures or or games like Uno and Pokemon. He really hopes to one day play games with a new parent or parents.

“I like to play with toys,” the 12-year-old said.

He also likes bowling, playing laser tag and the Xbox, and building with Legos.

He’d love to be adopted by a family with pets – especially if they have a dog or more than one dog.

“A big one and a small one,” he said.

“Roland is a delightful child, full of laughter and life,” said one of the people close to him.

“He sees the positive in others and has genuine affection for most people that he meets,” they added.

Roland has been waiting to be adopted since April of 2019.
