DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police say the man involved in the double shooting at a Detroit gas station Friday night has turned himself in.
A DPD spokesperson told 7 Action News the man came to the Detroit Police Department Saturday morning after finding out his photo was on the news. He was taken to the Detroit Detention Center, according to the spokesperson.
Detroit police are still investigating the case after two people were shot at a gas station on the city's west side late Friday.
A 23-year-old man, who has yet to be identified, and a 13-year-old boy, identified by family members as Damarian Johnson, were injured in a non-fatal shooting at the BP gas station at 7 Mile Road and Telegraph around 10:55 p.m.
The suspect entered the location and fired several shots striking the victims, before running off from the gas station.
Both victims are still in critical condition.
Family members of Damarian tell 7 Action News he was at the gas station grabbing a soda pop, and that his family was waiting for him outside.
There's been no word yet on what led up to the shooting.
