PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff's Department is investigating allegations of a rape at Pontiac High School.
A 14-year-old girl came forward just before 10:00 a.m. to say she had been assaulted by another student in a secluded area of the school. She was taken to the hospital for a rape kit.
The girl and her mother have both answered questions from police.
The suspect, a 15-year-old boy, was being held by school security at that time. He has been questioned by police with his mother in the room. He has been taken to Oakland County's Children's Village, pending criminal charges.
The case is still under investigation.
