(WXYZ) — The Michigan Department of Transportation tweeted Monday afternoon that 16 Mile Road at Mound Road was closed.
Macomb County provided an update shortly after 9 p.m. saying the intersection reopened, but Westbound 16 Mile Road would remain closed until further notice.
MDOT reports that a gas main break was the cause for the closure.
Chopper video showed traffic being re-routed.
