(WXYZ) — We're just over two weeks away from the Michigan Presidential Primary, and Monday is the last day people can register to vote online or by mail.
According to the Michigan Secretary of State, people can register online at Michigan.gov/VoterRegistration, at any Secretary of State branch office, at a designation state agency, at your township, city or county clerk's office, or by mail, through Monday, Feb. 24. The primary is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10.
After that, through March 9, you can register in person with your township or city clerk. You must have a residency verification which includes: Driver's license or state ID card, current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document.
You can also register on election day – March 10 – in person with your township or city clerk but NOT at a precinct. Voters who register on Election Day get a ballot and can vote that day.
The SOS is also reminding people that all voters can now vote early through absentee without a reason.

First, you can get an application at yoru county, township and city clerk's office or at Michigan.gov/vote, and mailed-in applications must be received by Friday, March 6. You can also drop off the application in person at the township or city clerk's office by 4 p.m. on Monday, March 9 to get your ballot.
You then complete your ballot, sign it and submit it by dropping it off in person at the township or city clerk office or return it through the mail. Ballots must be signed and received by 8 p.m. on election day.
