The Michigan State Police reports that 23 sex offenders were arrested during a sweep in Detroit earlier this month.

The sweep was conducted over a three-day period from September 15 through September 17.

Officials are now looking to arrest the remaining offenders.

Michigan State Police teamed up with the United States Marshals Service, Michigan Department of Corrections Absconder Recovery Unit, Michigan Department of Corrections Parole, Michigan Department of Corrections Macomb Circuit Court Probation, Detroit Police Department, Sterling Heights Police Department and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office to make the arrests.
