DETROIT (WXYZ) — Three people have died in a house fire on Detroit's east side overnight. According to the Detroit Deputy Fire Commissioner, police are investigating it as a homicide.
Police say the call came in around 12:15 a.m. Thursday for a home on the 19100 block Helen Street and 7 Mile. Fire crews were able to pull the bodies from the home, according to the sergeant. Police say the bodies of the deceased men were found in the living room.
Deputy fire commish says the bodies were burned beyond recognition & unable to identify victims. He says they haven’t determined the genders (which conflicts with what an investigator indicated earlier). We do know the man who lived in the home is among deceased @wxyzdetroit pic.twitter.com/FSViTlniI1
