STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Sterling Heights police are investigating a smash and grab that happened at a Kay Jewelers in Lakeside Mall Thursday evening.
Police are currently investigating the incident, but say that three suspects were involved in the smash and grab and one is currently in custody.
There is no detailed description of the two suspects at this time.
Police say thousands of dollars worth of jewelry were stolen using a hammer to break the protective glass at the store. There also were no surveillance cameras inside the jewelry store when the robbery occurred at 9 p.m.
