Police say 36 unlocked vehicles were entered since August 9.
The locations are sporadic, but they range as far north as the 500 block of Lakeview Avenue to the 1000 block of Union Street, according to the department. A cluster was concentrated in the area west of 10th Avenue, between Lincoln Avenue and Lyon Street.
Citizens are strongly encouraged to lock their vehicle doors and keep belongings out of sight.
Police advise:
- Do not keep the ignition keys in the vehicle, as one was stolen in the 2600 block of Woodstock Drive.
- As winter approaches, lock your cars when warming them up.
