A calm night ahead with just a chance of flurries and light snow expected "mainly" south of Detroit tonight. The bigger story is the Arctic air on the way which, arrives Tuesday night bringing a chance of snow squalls and falling temps.
Be careful while traveling if you get caught in one of these squalls. They can really ice up the roads and lower visibility in a hurry. Once the snow leaves - the core of the cold air moves in and will be felt on Wednesday. Temps for much of the day will feel like the single digits and teens thanks to the blustery winds.
By Thursday into the weekend, we’ll ironically start a warming trend leading into the first day of Winter this weekend.
